Work packages

WP2: Legal framework: a template has been prepared to identify gaps in the legal framework for each participating country. These have been completed by each partners, with additional information from European countries outside the consortium. Four deliverables are available and can be downloaded at "Publications" under Deliverables:

  • D4: Benchmarking - Legal Frame
  • D5: Listing of gaps in Legal Frame between European and national level
  • D6: Listing of Actions to harmonise the Legal Frame for biomass gasification
  • D7: Legal frame of plant permission and operation 

WP3: Risk Assessment: Five deliverables are available and can be downloaded at "Publications" under Deliverables:

  • D8: State-of-the-Art report on Biomass Gasification
  • D9: Report on possible HSE hazards
  • D10: Guideline
  • D11: Software Tool manual
  • D12: Risk assessment - Health, Safety and Environment  

WP4: Case Studies: A template has been prepared to collect information from existing gasifier plants on Health, Safety and Environmental issues. Four sites have been visited to verify the data. The case studies resulted in five deliverables, D17 can be downloaded at "Publications" under Deliverables:

  • D13: Confidential report on case study 1
  • D14: Confidential report on case study 2
  • D15: Confidential report on case study 3
  • D16: Confidential report on case study 4
  • D17: State Of the Art from case studies and good design principles

WP5: Communication and Dissemination: Several activities were conducted so far. The following deliverables are ready:

  • D19: the website
  • D20: one European workshop was held in Vienna, April 2008 and the second will held in September 2009
  • D21: Promotional material: a flyer project, poster, papers were presented at the 15th, 16th and 17th EU-Biomass Conference in Berlin, Valencia and Hamburg respectively.
  • D26: Workshop for German speakers
